Enter the Land of Musik

Deer Diary,

It’s about time we took a peek inside the office. And by “a peek,” what we really mean is “a listen.” As every yoggernaut knows, music is the way in which our team bonds, it’s the soundtrack to our creations, and it’s how we entertain ourselves throughout the day.

Of recent, quite a few bands have waltzed through Richmond, and the yoggernauts didn’t miss a beat. All in one week, Midnight Panther ventured to see the electrifying St. Vincent, Kissing Wolf danced her hind legs off at Phantogram, and the Snowy Sasquatch played his own show for the Richmond masses with his band, aptly titled The Snowy Owls!

Naturally, after the show is over, the office is victim to the after-affects in the form of mandatory listening. We don’t have to endure the screaming fans or blinding light show—natural light keeps yoggernauts forever in party mode, anyway.

Our collective fascination with the songs of yesteryear (we’re talking about the 90s, here) and the nonstop stream of current artists makes the office more cozy than a cabin on the river. It’s rare, but if you were to walk into our cozy would-be river-cabin and hear no music playing, it means we’re either surrounding a designer’s computer ogling at something beautiful, stuffing our faces with delicious sandwiches from a local shop, or listening attentively to the commanding and cool voice of the Lancing Narwhal.

We know we’re lucky to work in spirit animal heaven, so the best way we can invite you into this tribe without handing you a plane ticket is by handing over our June playlist instead. There’s something for everyone at any time of day, paired best with any activity—even unicycling (we’re looking at you JFO).

The only rule to our playlist is that you MUST listen to everything ten times. We’re half kidding when we say that, but we know you’ll do it anyway!
